Intent
What I was trying to do
I was intending to shoot a single subject isolated in the wing mirror, through the back window of the car. The original intention was to shoot a very tight shot with the wing mirror being the sole focus. However upon seeing the father and daughter through the windscreen I realised it was better to capture more of the environment.
What worked
I really like that there are multiple perspectives going on here. There is the father and daughter through the windscreen and what looks like a mother and son in the wing mirror. They are slightly juxtaposed as the son is taller than his mother and yet the daughter us smaller than her father. I appreciate that the lighting is flat, and even for all subjects and that one is not lit harsher than the other. Lastly I also really enjoy the random Bayamax toy there in the scene reminding you the main environment I'm shooting through is actually a car, I think it definitely adds a bit more character to the scene.
