Terms of Service

Last updated 4 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Framelines, operated by Framelines Publishing Limited (“Framelines”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 13671353), with its registered office at Belmont Suite Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, England, BL6 6HG. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Framelines.

Membership & billing

  • Membership is a recurring subscription (currently £5/month), billed through Stripe or Patreon.
  • It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable; cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period.

Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 16 to use Framelines. Keep your login details secure — you’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think it’s been compromised.

Community rules

When using Framelines, you agree not to:

  • Post content you don’t have the rights to, or that infringes anyone else’s rights.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other members.
  • Upload unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit material, or anything that breaks the law.
  • Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to break the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Direct messages

Framelines lets members message each other directly. The same community rules apply in private messages as anywhere else — don’t use them to harass, abuse, threaten, spam, or send unlawful or sexually explicit content.

  • You can block or mute any member, and report a conversation. Reporting shares a copy of the recent messages with our moderators so they can review it.
  • We don’t monitor private messages, but we may act on reports — and access specific messages where strictly necessary to investigate a serious safety issue or a breach of these terms, or where required by law.
  • Misusing direct messages may lead to losing messaging access, suspension, or removal from Framelines.

Your photographs and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the photographs and other content you submit. Framelines claims no ownership of your work.

By submitting work, you grant Framelines a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and share it as part of running and promoting Framelines — including within the app, the Framelines magazine, the featured wall, and social-media roundups (such as Instagram). We will credit you wherever reasonably possible.

You confirm that you own or have permission to share the work you submit, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. You can ask us to remove your work from Framelines surfaces at any time by emailing info@frame-lines.com(note that copies already printed in the magazine can’t be recalled).

Our content

The Framelines name, brand, design, and the assignments and editorial we produce belong to us. Please don’t copy or reuse them without permission.

Ending your membership

You can cancel any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. If your account ends, the licence you gave us above continues for content already published (for example, work printed in a past magazine issue), but otherwise ends.

Disclaimers & liability

Framelines is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the date above when we do, and significant changes will be communicated in the app.
