What I was trying to do

I was trying to emphasis the bubbly texture on the pane of the glass I was shooting through while capturing a subject climbing the steps up from the subway.

What worked

Texture of the bubbles stands out.

What I'd do differently

Could have come back for better light during the day (this was shot at night) and in doing so waited for a more clear, lit subject to make the frame stronger.
