What I was trying to do

I was drawn to the way the open car window and subsequent reflections layer the subject behind the glass into the outside world, creating a tension between private and public space. The magazine and packed lunch also gave the scene a slightly old-fashioned, analogue feel that felt at odds with the pace of contemporary street life.
