What I was trying to do

It was a very quick spur of the moment shot so I'm not sure I was consciously trying to do anything. I spotted the boy, the red rectangle, the grimy windows of the empty shop, had a feeling there was something in it, and luckily it all came together.

What worked

I like the softness caused by shooting through three layers of dirty glass, the colour palette and the negative space. Overall I'm pretty happy with this one.
