Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- An old man, likely in his eighties, played alone in a quiet corner of a seaside town. Nearby, country bars and modern clubs drew their crowds, while his jazz passed mostly unheard. Still, he went on playing.
- What worked:
- His unique shirt made it seem like the musical notes were flowing out of his saxophone. I feel like I could hear the music just by looking at this picture.
- What I'd do differently:
- Maybe the highlights on the cars are a little too much?
