What I was trying to do

Always wanted to get a street photo of a cat behind a drinking glass in an urban setting! It seems like most existing photos of a cat behind a drinking glass were taken indoors with a pet cat.

What worked

Captured some distortion behind the glass while retaining enough clarity to see the cat’s features and the eye contact. The clear text on the glass provides info on the location.

What I'd do differently

The cat just happened to be behind this empty beer glass that someone left behind, and I don’t think the cat stayed at that position for long, but I wonder whether I could have waited for someone to walk close by (e.g. see the legs and shoes next to the cat) for the additional size contrast element.
