What I was trying to do
I was drawn to the layered reflections in the shop window, where the street outside becomes part of the display. The colour, texture and repeating forms of the Bundt tins created a rich, almost abstract pattern, while the glass blurred the boundary between inside and out.
What worked
The layering worked well: the reflections of the street and buildings outside became intertwined with the shop display, so the image feels busy and slightly disorientating in a way that suits the idea of looking behind glass. I also liked the repeated curves, colours and textures of the Bundt tins, which gave the photograph a sense of rhythm amongst all the visual clutter.
What I'd do differently
I would spend a little longer trying a few slightly different angles and positions, to control the strongest reflections and make one area of the image feel more clearly dominant. The busyness is part of its appeal, but I think a cleaner focal point — perhaps the red tin or one particular reflection — could make the composition feel even more intentional.
