What I was trying to do

The atmosphere outside was glorious and I spotted this woman totally in her own virtual world. I was aiming to capture her solitude whilst still get a sense of her surroundings and the golden hour vibe outside.

What worked

The shallow depth of field and the framing encouaged the the narrative that I was seeing, I think the imagery works really well.

What I'd do differently

I would get closer definitely! But also shift up and to my left a bit so that her face isn't blocked by the candle.
