What I was trying to do
I was out testing out a ne, some had cleaner figures w lens, I was using it for the first time for a couple of hours in Manchester to see if I liked it or if I would be returning it. I was literally waiting to cross the road as the tram approached, just then I remembered this assignment, " Behind Glass ", I'd only joined the site that day or a day previous so just took a few shots as the tram went by. Out of 4 or 5 shots only 3 were anywhere near in focus, this man just seemed to be looking directly at me in different positions as it passed but stood out in them all. This was the only image with no other people in front of him.
What worked
Getting usable images of people on a moving tram is never easy, this time I was trying to be Candid too, so to capture this with a lens I'd only used for around 10 shots previously I was just happy to get an image I like.
What I'd do differently
I would stand further back, the Tram was literally right next to me as it passed. Also take more time, but this time it was a split second decision to take the shots.
