What I was trying to do

This mural is quite famous here in Singapore, but I found the young woman smoking in front of the Smoking Girl mural to be quite a juxtaposition of modernity and of the past.

What worked

Happening across the woman smoking in front of the smoking girl mural, while looking at her phone, allows a plethora of take aways from this one image.

What I'd do differently

I wish I had gotten closer and maybe made the subject a bit larger in contrast to the mural. From this view, she is quite dwarfed by it. I don't know if that would have made a more engaging image though.
