Intent

Behind the frame

What I was trying to do:: This mural is quite famous here in Singapore, but I found the young woman smoking in front of the Smoking Girl mural to be quite a juxtaposition of modernity and of the past.
What worked:: Happening across the woman smoking in front of the smoking girl mural, while looking at her phone, allows a plethora of take aways from this one image.
What I'd do differently:: I wish I had gotten closer and maybe made the subject a bit larger in contrast to the mural. From this view, she is quite dwarfed by it. I don't know if that would have made a more engaging image though.

That's a cool shot John. I like the fact that the person is dwarfed by the mural. The moody sky adds to it.
