Intent

What I was trying to do

I had been hoping for weeks some Middle Eastern women would walk past this poster,as I knew the colours would work and it would be a good juxtaposition, but generally they finish shopping in new bond st then a car takes them back to where they are staying

What worked

I got the colours, if not a great gesture and seperation

What I'd do differently

It was just so busy, I took several shots this was the cleanest, I would ask them to walk past again and again😂😂

You definitely had the right idea with the minimal colour palette David. You made it work very well for what, I imagine, was a difficult scene to capture.

Thanks Kenny, yes there were a lot of people moving in and out of the scene, this was the cleanest one, for some reason this version on framelines has come out with the whites really bright, maybe it’s just my screen

Cheers Steve, I was pleased to get it, as I had the idea of this photo in my head for weeks, as with lots of others ideas for photos, and for once it came together, it’s probably not my best photo, but I was pleased it came together almost as I imagined it

Thanks Darren, I was super pleased with the colours, small confession, I’ve actually posted the wrong version of this photo by mistake, I have a better version where I have cropped out the window frame and reverted to the original ratio, my lesson learnt don’t post after a glass of wine

Hi David. Trying to align a group of people to a scene or a billboard poster is always worth trying and you've done well under the circumstances, and yes, the thought of intervening isn't so far fetched :-)) My reference for images like this is the photo of the seven sisters (nuns) at Seven Sisters station by Ben Patey (the number of them is disputed). Do you know the photo? Enjoy the rest of your day.
