What I was trying to do

This was on a hot summer day in Richmond a couple of years ago. As I was walking and waiting for the high tide, I saw these two people who probably didn't know each other sharing the same bench. The river was busy, people paddle boarding and on boats, so I was trying to use these two as a frame for the boat that was coming down the river.

What worked

The framing worked as I was expecting.

What I'd do differently

I would probably get a bit closer to the foreground so it feels more like a frame. It was a bit cloudy during that moment, so wait for the sun to make it a bit more vibrant. And use a larger depth of field, although I do like the blur.
