Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Shanghai Street Cleaner. I had an hour to explore Shanghai's famous Bund on a flight back from Japan. I was on the hoof trying to capture my first time in a really unfamiliar environment. Lots stood out, I caught this street cleaner checking his phone mid shift. I like the contrast of him in an officially sanctioned uniform against having a cheeky doomscroll, with the casual passers by walking the opposite way. I also liked the way the shop lights were lighting him against the dark background. Shot on Kentmere 200 pushed +2 stops.
