This is under the new bridge at 'Slussen', connecting two parts of central Stockholm. I was attracted by the reflection of the water on the underside of the bridge - it feels very enclosed there but the sea and wide open spaces are just behind where the cyclist is crossing, probably heading home. I was trying to capture this contrast, amongst others.
What worked:
There's a lot of contrast and many different types of light, both direct and reflected. And the exposure basically worked, which I was happy with on my first day with a Rolleiflex!
What I'd do differently:
This was a very early attempt so I was just happy it worked! Being able to move a bit to the right (or just turning a few degrees) would improve the angle so the reflection wouldn't be cut off.
Shoutout
Chris Parkes's first shoutout, picked out by the editors in #40 Monochrome.
