Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I usually shoot in color so this assignment was quite a challenge for me. But when I saw this sun shade with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II I knew I had to make it work in black & white. I deliberately tried to make the image less readable due to the weird combination of elements. I could solely focus on the composition and the lack of color clearly helped with reducing legibility.
Shoutout
Christian Al-Mosawi's second shoutout, picked out by the editors in #40 Monochrome.
