Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Captured during a walk around the Duomo in Milan, where the energy is always chaotic. Between the crowds playing with the flock, the birdseed sellers avoiding cameras at all costs, and the inevitable moment a pigeon flies an inch from your face, there's always something happening. Here, a woman was trying to pose for a family photo when the birds suddenly swarmed her. The mixed reactions make the shot for me: her obvious alarm, the amusement of the guys laughing nearby, and the surprise of the onlookers in the background.
