Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I captured this on a New York City trip and I thought it was an interesting juxtaposition to capture an image of a bicyclist memorial while a truck was speeding by along with a bicyclist hot on it's bumper. I felt like this image worked well for the assignment since the there is 3 subjects that all contribute to the story within the image and that completely fill the frame. - What worked:
- I was happy with the motion within the image of the bicyclist and the truck while the memorial stands still in time and solidarity. I did tone down the color and went with a heavy contrast edit which I think works well.
- What I'd do differently:
- I really wish that I had caught more of the bicyclist within the frame..
