Behind the frame
What I was trying to do:
My first time at Tate Modern (Freda Kahlo exhibition on now) and the Millennium Bridge we decided to go for a walk across the it. We'd walked up the ramp, I turned round and saw the stream of bodies heading across; perfect filler for the foreground and something different to the usual clean leading lines, uncluttered photos I'd seen of this bridge. Handy that I had the Fujifilm set for monochrome +R and a CPL filter already on.
What worked:
London was busy when we were there a few weeks back so I'd decided to go monochrome and go big and wide on landscape and street if I got a good opportunity. Lucky I suppose!
What I'd do differently:
I love it as it is. People leaving, some coming up in the foreground then walking away in the middle ground with St Pauls domineering the background. Busy yes but I was conscious of keeping about a third of the frame for the sky to counter the business below.
