Behind the frame
What I was trying to do:
I was facing the other way, carefully framing a shot of a little girl with her gramps throwing chips (one at a time) to an annoyingly well behaved audience of sea gulls.
I heard commotion behind and turned to see a woman scattering a whole bag of chips. An army of gulls descended and I got the camera up as the boy charged in. I fired this and one more before the birds cleared.
Fortunately the settings for the first shot worked for the second - fast enough to freeze the movement with enough depth to catch all the characters (I love granny with a fag to the right of the boy).
If I could turn back time I would have been facing the right way when the chips dropped and framed it better. Shot last Saturday in my home town.
