Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I wanted this frame to evoke questions, where is she going? Why is she walking on the tracks? Is she going to the barn?
- What worked:
- Monochrome works well in this image, far better than color in my opinion.
- What I'd do differently:
- I’d liked to have gotten the subject in a slightly different vantage point that would have centered the bridge with her in 1/3 and the barn in 1/3. That would have made the image more balanced.

I agree with you, David, about the image being more evocative in b & w, and the subject being off centre makes a difference as well.
