Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Capture the beautiful jumble that is Stone Street in Mandalay. Two women cover their heads to keep stone dust from their hair, but don't wear masks or goggles or shoes. Another woman, her face covered in sandalwood paste to block out the sun, sits alone amidst unfinished statuary, calmly eating her avocado. A tangled spaghetti of power lines droops the length of the busy street. And, in the middle of it all, the Buddha sits, serenely, ------------ If I could go back to this moment, I'd like to get a couple frames stopped down further as an option.
