Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I wanted to capture the interplay of light and shadow. There are so many people across the frame, yet not a single face is fully visible. I found that interesting—the anonymity, and the way the figures hang and lean lean against the bars, looking at something that can be solved from a single clue in the image.
- What worked:
- The exposure. The shadows and lights, and the sense of harmony despite the crowded frame.
- What I'd do differently:
- The focus is not the best, and I'm not entirely pleased with the rectangle of blue sky.

I really like that this photo makes you look extra hard. Lots of abstract strange flesh shapes! I think it works, my only small criticism is the red takes the eye and that character doesn't need more emphasising. Apart from that, I think it is a great frame.
Thanks for the feedback Matt! Just a quick question, how would you solve the issue with the guy in the red tshirt? Considering I’m not a big fan of altering colors, maybe a different framing?
