Hi Jonathan, Refering back to your 'Chat' discussion....do you ask dog owners permission to do a portrait or do you do candids ? (I do both depending on circumstances)

It depends on the situation. If I get a chance to take a candid shot I will. I have extensive experience working with dogs, predominantly German Shepherds, and mostly rescues. I would always defer to the owner regarding any close contact with a dog. And never in close proximity to the dog’s muzzle.
