Having shot family photos for the past 10+ years, it’s such fun to turn my eye to things very different. I don’t know if they are good photos or not, but I’m enjoying myself immensely! 📸

Both great photos. Love the second one, the light and shadow elements work perfectly and I love how the figure in the top half is silhouetted but that you can still see detail in the lower half. Enjoying yourself immensely definitely sounds the way to go - I think we forget that bit sometimes!. When I find street photography a bit "too much" I switch to abstracts, or landscapes or still lifes - sometimes going in a different direction really works, look like it's paying really positive dividends for you already.

Yes, I used to get hung up on what type of photographer I was. So silly, especially at this stage of my life. Yesterday, I watched an interesting video on Faizal Westcott's YT channel about shooting in Tokyo. Lots of talk about abstract photography. I will post it in the General Chat area.
