Beginner Fujifilm lens advice

I started street photography using a Minolta with Rokkor 55mm. I’m now using an xt2 with 27mm - it’s great, but finding it wide. I only been going a few months and don’t want to fall into the trap of loads of new gear while I learn - but should I look at an alternative lens like the Fujinon 50mm? All advice and thoughts welcome!
