Given this is a street focused camera I thought I'd share that as of yesterday my beloved X-Pro 3 has suffered the common fault that plagues this otherwise beautiful but controversial camera.

Seems when you tilt the screen below flat it cuts out and doesn't come back on until you restart the camera. All over functionality seems to work just fine.

I think I'm going to attempt to repair myself as Ive seen a guide and it doesn't look too difficult. 20 years ago I replaced the sensor filter on a camera I converted to Infrared so this shouldn't be hard in comparison.

Interested to hear if anyone else has come across this issue with this camera.

I recently got an Olympus Om-1n and have absolutely fallen in love with it but I'm trying to cut costs at the moment so film isn't ideal. Due to my love of the Olympus I've decided to purchase an Olympus OM-D EM-5 Mark ii (what a mouthful!) with the Zuiko 17mm 2.8 lens. I'm really intrigued about how I'm going to find it and would love to hear from anyone else on their experience with M43 and Olympus cameras in general.

I've been considering getting a 23mm lens for my Fuji XT-5.

I own the 35 and 50 f2 lenses and I love them. But I'm thinking the smaller and lighter 23 f2.8 pancake could be the way to go.

I've heard the pancake isn't as fast at focusing, but I'm mainly going to be shooting this using zone focusing, so I'm thinking that won't be too much of an issue for me.

My main reservations are the cost, if I'm honest. Is it really worth an extra £100 to save 90g in weight?

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on either lens

If you’ve got a small flat fronted camera and don’t really want to bolt a grip onto it, a strip of adhesive rubber grip tape on the front can transform the ergonomics. Feels so much more secure with this on the front and a strip in the thumb recess on the back. The adhesive on this Welstik tape is plenty enough to hold but seems to peel off without residue if you change your mind.

Hello everyone. I’m looking for a bit of direction on camera choice.

I currently have the Fuji X100vi but looking to get an additional camera for longer focal lengths. I want something in the 135mm area and narrowed down the options to three vastly different ideas.

First is the Sony RX100vii (small, fun, carry around anywhere, up to 200mm)

The XH2/XT4 + the Fuji 90mm f2 (Fuji colors, great lens, similar in concept to the X100)

Leica SL2-s + some sort of 135mm vintage lens (new system, interesting lens options, Leica colours)

I think I’d be happy with any option but how vastly different each one makes it a little tricker to decide. My main need is that telephoto look, but well I’m buying it I could get a great camera like the Leica (budget is in the £2000 area)

Literally any thoughts or previous experience will help. Thank you

Recently I had to send my Q3 for servicing (oh Leica) and it's my only digital camera, knowing Leica it will be away for ages, I may never see it again so I was like what do I do in the meantime?
Even older mirrorless are a few £100 and I didn't want to spend that on something I don't really want, or splurge on a ZF or SL.
Then it dawned on me..DSLRs!
I read the 5D is pretty good for adapting manual lenses of which a have a few of and the D5 classic is less than a Pret lunch these days.
So I picked one up for £70, adapted my 50 Cron R to it and well, I could buy like 50 of these for the price of a Q3 😬

After I retired from pro shooting, I closed the studio, sold the Nikon kits, the Hasselblads and a couple of 4x5’s. I’m 81 and that all happened about 15 years ago. I hemmed and hawed about what to buy next.
Eventually, I settled on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 and.a few primes lenses. Best thing I ever did since retiring. Now, I mostly shoot with the 23mm F2, a nearly perfect lens for what I do. Some landscape, a few portraits, and street, the latter of which is rather new to me.

Currently, I’m shooting with my Ricoh GR3X but I’m considering purchasing the Ricoh GR IV - this way I have both my favorite focal lengths covered and never have to worry about what to bring along on a full day of shooting. Recently, I took my Canon R8 and a 50 mm 1.8 lens into the city for a long day and dealt with wrist pain for several days afterwards. I’ve tried hanging it around my neck and also using a crossbody strap, but I just can’t get comfortable with either of those options. Would love to hear any user experience with the Ricoh GR IV, both good and bad. 🙏🏻

How do we all feel about zooms? I've always gravitated towards primes to keep size down and keep me focused. However, I decided to pick up a 24-50 zoom to be more prepared for events and travel etc. so I can just bring one lens and call it a day. I feel like they can actually be harder to work with but I'm interested to know how many here prefer them over primes.
