I’m doing a project development course with Colin Pantall at the moment and after an initial review of my banger racing project he told me I should take a 50mm and take some formal portraits (everything is 28mm so far). So I duly went to the beach to see what I could find and get some practice in. My aim was to confidentially approach, have a chat about the day and relax the subject. Then try and manually focus. I like the results. Mainly as they all look so relaxed. I got all their emails and have sent a copy.
I've had the pleasure of doing that same course with Colin. Loved it. I recommended it to Amanda. :)
He's clearly given you some great advice. I love that first photo in particular.

Great job Craig, not an easy task approaching people on the beach. That first one is especially strong.
Thanks - means a lot. First one, the son is out of focus, perhaps should have gone for f4.
