An odd one this. One of my early “street” efforts from the summer of 2018, the year I started taking photography a bit more seriously and changed the way I photographed. Anyway, it was one of our first visits to Deal in Kent (where we now live) and the brilliant brutalist pier gives great opportunities for photographers in all weathers. I saw this and thought there was definitely “something there”. About a year later I was approached by a friend of a friend who had seen it and asked if I would make one large print and then never ever print it or use it on the socials ever again. I thought about it and took the money. I probably wouldn’t do that again…
I like it! although the pier is brutalist, the photo is very pleasing to the eye.

Thanks Yiannis. I think it works. It was an early effort and now I’d definitely do it slightly differently. But I’m glad you like it. I do too.
Cool. what would you do differently? I do not want to critisize it but I am interest in seeing what you see. Get a conversation going. My first thought is shot at lower aperture perhaps so the handrail is more in focus. I hate doing this, I do not want to be a critic I think it is a very nice photo overall and that is what counts. The overall feedback someone gets from it. I see why someone would want to print and sell.
