Composition feels lacking. Any thoughts/cc welcomed. I'm assuming we can ask for cc here, but not sure?
I dunno, Patty. This has a very authentic, but very deliberate, Meyerowitz-ian / Frank-ian feel to it. The best images in this genre answer (or at least suggest answers) to 2 of 3 questions. Here you have two: Where (America) and When (summer -- tree foliage). The blue color is like blue painter's tape holding the thing together. The motion-blurred foreground flag is a terrific anchor. The "Car Wash / Laundromat" sign is sooo American!
Yeah, maybe in another take you might have rotated 2 deg. left stepped back 2 steps to ease that left border. But really, it's an excellent vernacular-type image as-is. 👍️
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the suggestion, but especially appreciate the education. This is part of the reason I love this community, I've only been a member for a few weeks, but I've learned so much and found some wonderful resources I wouldn't have found otherwise.
I think the composition is strong. Nothing feels lacking, in my opinion. Having the flag moving makes all the difference.
