My 'work' camera is a Z6iii, and I've been using it for street most of this year. Last week I got hold of an X Pro 1, stuck a 40 year old manual lens on it and headed out yesterday. I love how simple and slow it is. And maybe it was in my head, but it felt like I had fewer eyes on me as well.
I know what you mean, Ewan. I swapped out my Z7ii for an M11 last year for the same reason. It felt too big in my hand and made me feel overly self-conscious. Beautiful camera, but it didn't feel right. The manual experience has been transformative.
My partner couldn't understand when I said it didn't feel right shooting street on the mega computer that is the z6iii. It helped make some beautiful images. But the weird little 14 year old, 16mp Fuji feels right.
