Vienna pride. One of those days of leaving the hotel for a walk with no intention and ended up in the middle of a massive parade for hours.
There is only one person facing the camera. Not a single person is clear enough to show any meaningful details, including the person facing the camera. Clearly there is some type of march or parade as everyone is moving in the same direction. Living near San Francisco, I can surmise this is probably a pride event, possibly a woman focused event. Very smoky and so hard to see anything in the background. All of this information is clinically descriptive, but does this photograph a great disservice. To me, the amazing and powerful impact of your photograph is the mysterious and compelling story being hinted at. It’s beautiful and I want to know more about what’s actually going on. The dynamic energy is palpable. It has a feel of contemporary, mysticism. I love this photograph.
