Taken and edited today as I stumbled upon a fete on a sunny jaunt out with my camera and 100mm lens. I love how telephoto’s can often make streets photos look a bit surreal. Totally takes you out of reality and into my vision.
Do you ever punch in to 150mm with that lens?

No, I would crop out a lot of character from that lens plus on my camera the megapixel size is rather small in crop mode. Higher megapixel cameras are good for use in crop mode.
The location is probably a factor as well. I was in the Barbican recently with @brianwhitmore and was punching in with a 85mm to 127mm and cropping as well on my 24mp full frame with results I was happy with. An interesting thing to do now and again.

Location is definitely a factor. I also like to keep it simple and don't like having too many options. Just having two focal lengths (40mm and 100mm) is more than enough options and decision making for me. Cropping in camera can certainly add another dimension for people that enjoy it though.
