What I was trying to do
As I passed this window in Tallinn, Estonia, I noticed a scene where all the figures were already silhouettes - no metering work needed. It had a theatrical feel, like everything was playing out behind the curtain before it had lifted. I waited until the waiter passed through the middle to add a hero figure that sits above the rest in the composition.
What worked
I like how the people in the scene become more obscured, right down to silhouettes as you move from front to back through the composition.
What I'd do differently
I kept the flower bed and sky in for context at the time, but perhaps would have stepped forward slightly for a more abstract feeling if I could take it again.
