What I was trying to do

I was taken back by the horse racing subculture. I wanted to highlight a moment before the races started. This was taken in the walking ring just outside the stables.

What worked

The lighting, the line drawn through the overhang and hedges as well as the color repetition. I also loved the fact that the horse and one of the team caretaker were both gazing at me.

What I'd do differently

I would have love to spend more time in the walking ring and focus more on behind the moments with the teams managing the horses.
