What I was trying to do

This was when I first moved to London, feeling very inspired by Ernst Haas, and I wanted to capture the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street.

What worked

I love how the classic red bus created a swath of color behind the subjects.

What I'd do differently

It would have been nice to have more people at different distances to create a sense of space in the frame. I would also love to gain the confidence to try this technique with flash, though I love the painterly effect no flash creates.
