Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Catch the vibrant colours of the ride and people on it against the sunny sky.
- What worked:
- The expression of the happy boy was something I couldn’t expect or even ask for. Certainly takes the image up quite a few notches. Right place, right time.
- What I'd do differently:
- Move onto something else once I had banked this shot. In fairness, I didn’t know I had it until reviewing everything at home later on. Certainly one of those “yes!” moments.

The kid's expression is perfect, what a great shot.
Joyous work Luke
I dig it. This has a the timeless feel every street tog hopes for when he clicks his/her shutter. Great work!
Completely agree with the expression – also the nonchalance of the hands behind the head.
Lovely colours and facial expressions. I took a similar photo about 15 years ago which I converted to Black and White .
