Intent

Behind the frame

What I was trying to do:: A rare instance where I had spotted this mom and son in Oaxaca earlier and then saw them again as they left a store. I was hoping to catch a moment when she dragged him along but got this shadow instead.
What worked:: Definitely the story told in the shadows and the colors.
What I'd do differently:: I love the image although if there was one other element happening it would be less one-note.

Shoutout

Chris Stevens-Yu's second shoutout, picked out by the editors in #36 Completely Open.

Nice one Chris, the linking hands in the shadow is a great catch.
