Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Living in Los Angeles I often come across seemingly random objects that suggest some situation that had occurred the night before like this single abandoned Reebok sneaker and a Big Gulp. This gets my mind going as to what might have been going on. Does the owner of the shoe realize he's now missing one? And then with the other objects in the frame like the air conditioner, the oxidized pipes and chipped paint of the black wall, this becomes another urban still life of interesting objects and textures that I love exploring.
- What worked:
- There's a bit of mystery that drew my attention that drew my attention. I find it graphic and layered. The objects become characters.
- What I'd do differently:
- I'm not sure. Curious if others find this interesting like I do. Maybe it's just me.
