Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Since moving to Seattle, I've really enjoyed the colors and character of everyday life around the water. I take the ferry regularly, and something about this quiet corner caught my eye. I wanted to capture the colors and simplicity of a place most people pass without thinking twice.
- What worked:
- I like how the muted greens, blues, and browns came together. The empty seats and broom also give the scene a quiet, lived-in feeling that I enjoy. I also enjoyed that not all ceiling lights were functional.
- What I'd do differently:
- I'd love to revisit this spot on a sunnier day. I think some directional light and shadows coming through the windows could make the scene even more interesting.
