Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- Though I photograph my city daily, I seem to rarely take photos in my own quiet neighborhood. This exception was almost literally outside my front door. The bright midday light was making for vivid colors and this scene with the coiled, snakelike hose and the worker whose outfit matched the nearby foliage just felt too picturesque not to take. I took a few photos but, as is often the case, I favored the one in which I’m noticed and get a nice sideways glance from the subject.
