Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- A Gallows of Rotary Driers, No Hanging today. It was the quantity of empty rotary drier in the communal space of a sheltered accommodation flats that first court my eye whilst on my daily ride to work. I wanted to highlight the morning light casting shadows down the boulevard of aluminium posts. Then that same light, reflecting the colours of the nylon wires and pegs perched like multitudes of exotic birds motionless is the early light.
- What worked:
- I like the colours of the plastic pegs and nylon wires in contrast to the bright, harsh lighting in the background.
- What I'd do differently:
- I feel there is an exposure imbalance and the gross feels a bit blown out .
