Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I walk by these courts almost every day. As I look at this player waiting to join the game, it makes me feel anticipation and tension, but then it dissipates when I remember that it’s just a pickup game! This is for fun. And yet there’s still gravity. And a bit of nostalgia for when a pickup game felt this important. I am happy with the scene overall, but would have liked to frame the foreground tree in more intentionally.
