Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I was really enjoying the moment! I was driving home from work and I came across this couple skim surfing in the parking lot! We had a ton of rain come in as the hurricane churned by us in South Florida, these kids were taking advantage of the massive amounts of water. His girlfriend was driving the truck and he was in tow on his surf board.
- What worked:
- This is a uncropped , luck shot, zone focus on my 35mm manual lens. I was able to grab this frame as they surfed by me. I was actually moving away from them and took this "on the run". They drove by me much closer than I expected!
- What I'd do differently:
- Had I known I was going to shoot this surf scene, I would have grabbed a autofocus zoom lens and shot on continuous. But, I sure love how this frame came out.
