Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I live near the Vistula River and often cycle along its banks on my way to work. I know it so well that I sometimes forget just how beautiful it can be. When I saw the mist this morning, I decided to take a walk and came across this fisherman. It's a common sight, but there was something wonderful about the mist, the light, and the sense of calm so close to the Warsaw city centre.
- What worked:
- The lighting, the mist, the colour palette: it reminds me of tonalist painting.
- What I'd do differently:
- I regret not walking down closer to the river, as I think the bush in the foreground is a bit distracting.
