Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- One thing I like about this image is that it's 'Familiar' in 2x different ways. Firstly with it being a regular walking route I take whilst out on my lunch break at my full time job. Secondly with these people clearly being 'familiar' enough with one another that they are able to share this kind of intimate moment - possibly because they are 'Familial' - Family!
- What worked:
- I like the lighting and the edit that I gave, creating a look as if it was shot on film (This was actually taken on a Nikon ZF). I like the closeness of the subjects and the way in which they are standing within the scene. I particularly like that they are clearly happy being affectionate with one another in such a busy place.
- What I'd do differently:
- Try to take the photo without an additional person in the background.
