Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- I wanted to capture how this live performer seemed to be getting ignored by everyone rushing past him. We made eye contact, and for a moment he seemed completely alone amongst the chaos.
- What worked:
- What worked was the contrast between him standing still and everyone rushing past. The eye contact gives the image a human connection, while the blurred figures make him feel isolated and overlooked in the middle of a busy place.
- What I'd do differently:
- Wider angle shot maybe?
