This was a bitter sweet moment. This was the day I moved from Edinburgh to London. Friends came to stay for the last week so we could have a last celebration all together. I was feeling very sentimental and walking behind my teo friends here - as I looked up I thought what a great shot of them walking towards the train station, on to the next destination, both literally and metaphorically.
What worked:
I think this composition works well - rule of thirds. The subject matter in the middle of the frame, the leading lines showing that we are walking away from this era of my life. The dappled light bringing an element of warmth and light into this bitter sweet moment.
What I'd do differently:
It was a quick shot as all the subjects were moving but I would've liked to get a few more shots - had time to properly adjust the settings so the sky/background is not so white.
