I choose making this picture of pink roses with Foma Ortho 400 medium format film, because I thought the fringing dark pink at the edges would add contrast and accentuate the pettle structure. Ortho film is not sensitive to red light, which in theory would darken the edges of the roses. This turned out very much like I imagined it. It was made with a 135mm lens, handheld with a Mamiya C330 TLR. I'd probably pay more attention to the background next time and maybe try overexposing a bit as Foma Ortho will have a glowing effect because it lacks an anti-halation layer. Flowers are sometimes really hard to get right using B&W, so I'm pleased with this result.
