Intent
Behind the frame
- What I was trying to do:
- The light at this new basketball court in Detroit was perfect, thanks to the large skylight over head. I knew if I underexposed it enough I could capture some cool shadows. The energetic kids were the perfect subjects.
- What worked:
- I was happy with the exposure and energy of the scene.
- What I'd do differently:
- There’s always the nagging thought that if I had just kept shooting or returned at a certain time of day, I could have captured a better photo. It’s not perfect and I’m okay with that.
